If you are looking for office decorating ideas, it might be worthwhile to consider addding some elements of Feng Shui for your office.  Creating good Feng Shui to bring you luck and success in business has been popular lately.  In addition, it can really add to your office decor, and can be accomplished through just a few easy but effective ways of harnessing the positive vibes of Feng Shui.

One easy addition to your office decor to usher in some good Feng Shui is to add some green plants.  Add these plants to the southeast portion or wall of your office, as this is the part of your office space that signifies growth in income.  Be sure to choose lush, green plants, and be sure to care for them well.  The lush, healthy green plants will attract the energy of wealth into your office.

Another simple office decorating idea is to add water to your office decor.  A small fountain or other running water feature is a great addition.  Place it near your front door, within twenty feet if possible.

A couple of rules to keep in mind when choosing your water feature.  Make sure your fountain is of the ocrrect size.  It is better to have a small fountain, waterfall or moving water feature than to have on that is too large.  You want a moving water feature, but the sound should be gentle and soothing rather than overwhelming.  Think of it as light background noise.

When positioning your fountain or waterfall, make sure the water is flowing towards the entrance, with the water pooling in an area that can be seen from the door.  This signifies money flowing in, rather than money flowing out.

When placing the water features or fountains, do not place it directly in front of your entrance or to the right of your doorway.  When standing inside the office looking out, you wnat the fountain to be on your left hand side.

If there is room, consider adding some smooth rounded rocks to your water feature.  You do not want pointy or jagged rocks as this will disturb the positive energy your waterfeature is meant to bring.

If the resevoir or pool of your waterfall is large enough, consider adding some fish to it as well.  This may not be practical in the smaller fountains, but if your office entryway is large, and your waterfeature capable, adding life to the waterfeature will further enhance the positive energy.
